We’re thrilled to announce an exclusive cycling adventure: Canada, Alberta: Jasper to Banff Bike Tour—a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Birdy bike fans of all generations.




Why Jasper to Banff?

Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, the route from Jasper National Park to Banff National Park is renowned as one of the most scenic cycling journeys in the world. The 6-day itinerary takes you along the legendary Icefields Parkway and Bow Valley Parkway, featuring:

  • Majestic glaciers, like the Columbia Icefield.

  • Iconic lakes, such as Peyto Lake, Moraine Lake, and Lake Louise.

  • Wildlife sightings of elk, deer, and more in their natural habitat.

  • Awe-inspiring viewpoints, including Maligne Canyon and Sunwapta Falls.

This curated trip balances thrilling rides, leisurely exploration, and serene moments to connect with nature, all tailored to highlight the versatility and performance of your Birdy bike.


Tour Highlights

Day 1: Meet the Guides in Calgary

For our international visitors, the adventure begins in Calgary, Alberta. You’ll meet your guides and fellow riders at a designated location near Calgary International Airport (YYC). To ensure a smooth start, international visitors are encouraged to check in to a hotel near Calgary Airport the day before. From there, we’ll transfer you to the Banff Train Station by shuttle. At 9 AM, the group departs for Jasper via a scenic shuttle ride. The mountain landscapes during this transfer are absolutely spectacular. Upon arrival at the Jasper Inn, you’ll have time to size up your bikes and enjoy a guided tour of Jasper. The day concludes with an evening orientation and dinner.

Day 2: Jasper to Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon

Start your day with a gradual ride through the stunning Maligne Valley, surrounded by wildlife and spectacular views. The highlight is Medicine Lake, where we’ll enjoy a serene lakeside lunch. Afterward, we’ll cycle back to Jasper with a stop at Maligne Canyon, the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park, for photos and a short walk. Spend your evening exploring the charming town of Jasper.

Cycling Distance: Up to 70km/43mi, +600m/1969ft.

Accommodation: Jasper Inn & Suites

Meals: Breakfast and lunch included; dinner on your own.


Day 3: Athabasca Valley to Sunwapta Falls

Today’s ride takes you south through the Athabasca Valley. You’ll visit iconic spots like Mt. Edith Cavell and the Angel Glacier, marveling at icebergs floating in a glacial lagoon. After lunch, we’ll cycle along the wild Athabasca River Valley to our evening destination, Sunwapta Falls Resort. A short walk to the falls caps off the day.

Cycling Distance: 56km/35mi, +794m/2605ft, -459m/1506ft.

Accommodation: Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.


Day 4: Icefields Parkway and Sunwapta Pass

Cycle along one of the world’s most beautiful highways, the Icefields Parkway. The route includes a gradual climb to Sunwapta Pass, the second-highest pass on your journey, at 2035m/6676ft. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Columbia Icefield and surrounding peaks before descending into the North Saskatchewan River basin. Tonight’s stay is at The Crossing Resort.

Cycling Distance: Up to 98km/61mi, +1232m/4066ft, -1182m/3901ft.

Accommodation: The Crossing Resort

Meals: Breakfast and lunch included; dinner on your own.


Day 5: Mistaya Valley to Lake Louise

Today’s route begins with a climb out of the Mistaya River Valley to Bow Summit, the highest point on the Icefields Parkway at 2134m/7000ft. A visit to the iconic Peyto Lake viewpoint is a must. After lunch, enjoy a descent along the Bow River to the village of Lake Louise, where we’ll spend the night. An evening visit to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise ensures incredible photo opportunities.

Cycling Distance: 80km/50mi, +993m/3257ft, -896m/2939ft.

Accommodation: Mountaineer Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.


Day 6: Bow Valley Parkway and Return to Calgary

Our final ride takes us along the tranquil Bow Valley Parkway to Banff. This secluded road offers stunning views and opportunities for wildlife sightings. The ride concludes at the Banff Train Station, where we’ll bid farewell before transferring you back to Calgary. This ensures a convenient return for international travellers.

Cycling Distance: 58km/36mi, +517m/1706ft, -674m/2224ft.

Accommodation: None (transfer to Calgary)

Meals: Breakfast included.
